Originally from Lexington, SC, Scott A. Hendrix moved to Charleston in 1998 to begin foundation studies at the College of Charleston. Later transferring to the Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) in Savannah, Georgia, he completed undergraduate and graduate work in Savannah and abroad at SCAD’s E’cole des Beaux Arts in Lacoste, France. Scott returned to Charleston in 2006 to begin a professional career in architecture.

He has gained broad experience in many aspects of architectural practice, producing designs and bringing a unique and evolving combination of technical experience and management overview to projects. Previously employed with Cummings & McCrady, Inc. as an Intern Architect and Project Manager, Scott has a developing knowledge of architecture beyond an academic focus, and has learned many attributes of commercial, institutional, liturgical, educational, residential and civic projects. Additionally, Scott completed several projects in the ever-growing Senior Living market, Working under these professionals, he further acquired a knowledge and respect for preservation and restoration, and worked intimately with various clients and consultants.

In addition to architecture, Scott has an interest and focus on branding, graphic design and marketing, and business development.

Scott received a Bachelor of Architecture from the Savannah College of Art & Design in 2007, and was also awarded a Master of Architecture upon the completion of a graduate thesis. He became a LEED Accredited Professional in 2009 and is working toward obtaining a license to practice Architecture.
